Rethink What Money Really Means

Your relationship with money started years before you earned your first dollar. And honestly, most of us never questioned the beliefs we picked up along the way. Our program helps you unpack those patterns and build something more intentional.

Three Things We've Learned About Money Beliefs

01

They Show Up Quietly

Most people don't realize their money decisions are guided by unconscious beliefs formed in childhood. You might avoid investing because your parents thought it was risky. Or overspend because spending meant freedom. These patterns hide in plain sight.

02

They're Not Fixed

Just because you've thought a certain way for twenty years doesn't mean you're stuck with it. Your brain can learn new patterns. It takes some work and a bit of discomfort, but the shift is real when you commit to understanding where these ideas came from.

03

Context Matters More Than You Think

We don't teach generic money advice here. What worked for someone in Sydney's eastern suburbs won't necessarily work for someone in regional Queensland. Your context shapes everything, so we start there before building anything new.

How We Actually Work With You

Our approach isn't about quick fixes or feel-good platitudes. We spend the first few weeks just examining where your current beliefs came from. Family messages. Early experiences with money. Cultural expectations. All the stuff that shaped how you see financial decisions today.

Then we work on building new frameworks. Not because the old ones were wrong, but because they might not serve where you're trying to go. We use practical exercises that connect to real situations you're facing right now.

One participant said she finally understood why she felt guilty every time she saved money. Turns out, her family always prioritized giving over saving. Once she saw that pattern, she could choose something different without the emotional weight.

Our next cohort starts in September 2025. We run small groups because this work needs space for honest conversation. You'll meet people dealing with similar questions, and that shared experience matters more than you'd expect.

What The Process Actually Looks Like

1

Foundation Work

We start by mapping your money story. Not just the facts about your income or spending, but the emotional landscape. What makes you anxious? What feels good? Where did you learn that money equals security or stress or power? This takes about three weeks of reflection and group discussion.

2

Pattern Recognition

Once you understand your history, we look at current patterns. How do you make decisions under pressure? What triggers old beliefs? We use real scenarios from your life, not hypothetical examples. This phase can be uncomfortable because you'll see things you've been avoiding.

3

Building New Frameworks

Here's where things shift. You start testing new approaches in small, low-risk ways. Maybe you have a different conversation with your partner about spending. Or you try a new budgeting method without the usual shame. We track what works and adjust as needed.

4

Integration and Practice

The final phase is about making these new patterns stick. We meet less frequently, but you're applying everything in real time. Most people find this the hardest part because old habits fight back. That's normal and expected. The group support becomes really valuable here.

What People Actually Say

Jasper Thornquist

Jasper Thornquist

Small Business Owner, Brisbane

I thought I just needed better financial tools. Turns out I needed to understand why I kept self-sabotaging when things started going well. The program gave me language for patterns I didn't even know I had. Still working on it, but I'm making different choices now.

Dashiell Vukovic

Dashiell Vukovic

Project Manager, Melbourne

What stuck with me most was realizing my money anxiety came from watching my parents stress about bills as a kid. I'd been carrying that tension for thirty years without examining it. The group sessions helped me separate their experience from mine. That shift alone was worth it.

Ready to Examine Your Money Story?

We're running our next program starting September 2025. Limited to twelve participants so we can maintain the depth these conversations need. The format is eight weeks with weekly group sessions and some individual work between meetings.

This isn't therapy and it's not financial planning. It sits somewhere between the two, focusing specifically on the psychological patterns that shape your financial decisions. If that sounds like what you've been looking for, get in touch.

You can reach us at Duffys Corner, 1094-1118 Anzac Parade, Maroubra NSW 2035, call +61448246209, or email help@nethyrios.com. We'll have a conversation about whether the program is right for where you are right now.
